What is Gold Vault Roulette?

Gold Vault Roulette is the replacement for Gold Bar Roulette, which was discontinued in August 2023 from non GamStop casinos. While players in that game had to choose which numbers to place their gold bar multipliers on, they preferred to have the game choose for them. Evolution listened carefully to online casino players and adapted the original game into a new version: Gold Vault Roulette. The same studio and the same gold bars are still used, but up to 20 50x multipliers can now be randomly awarded in each round.

This version is significantly more successful than its predecessor and less volatile than Lightning Roulette, for example. However, the lower volatility allows you to achieve wins more often with the multipliers in Gold Vault Roulette.

How to play Gold Vault Roulette?

The goal of Gold Vault Roulette (formerly Gold Bar Roulette) is to predict the number of the pocket where the ball will land. You can place one or more bets. Gold Vault Roulette or Gold Bar Roulette is very similar to regular single-zero roulette, either European or French. The bets are also the same. You place a bet on one or more pockets with specific numbers on the roulette wheel. If the ball lands in the corresponding pocket, you win your bet. The differences from a standard roulette game are the gold bars you can earn and the standard payouts for single-number bets (straight bets) at non GamStop casinos.

Roulette rules and bets

The roulette wheel consists of the numbers 1-36 and a single zero. You can place inside and outside bets on a specific range of numbers. If you correctly predict the outcome, you receive a payout.

Inside Bets

Inside BetsBet On
Straight bet (applies to multipliers)A single number
Split betTwo numbers next to each other
Street betThree numbers next to each other
Corner (Square) betFour numbers next to each other in a square
Line betSix numbers next to each other in two rows of three

Outside Bets

Outside BetsBet On
Column bet12 numbers in one column
Boxes betSeries 1-12, 13-24, or 25-36
Red/Black betRed or black numbers
Odd/Even betEven or odd numbers
High/Low betLow (1-18) or high (19-36) numbers

You can also bet on sections of the wheel that group numbers as they appear. These bets originate from French roulette, and you use the Racetrack to place them. The sections have names like Voisins du Zero (neighbors of the 0), Tiers du Cylindre (one-third of the wheel), and Orphelins (the remaining numbers).

Gold bar multipliers

You play in a lavish, gold-decorated studio containing four small safes. Inside are pallets containing 5 to 20 gold bars. When you place your bet and the wheel spins, the safe doors open. The gold bars act as multipliers and, unlike in Gold Bar Roulette, are randomly added to a specific number on the roulette wheel. If a gold bar lands on a number of your choice, your winnings are multiplied by the multiplier(s). This can be up to 500x.

A gold bar has a multiplier value of 50x. Up to three multipliers can be added to a single number, for a total of 150x. There is one multiplier with a maximum value of 500x. This Super Gold Bar can appear only once per spin, and never on a number already containing a regular gold bar. Gold bar multipliers only apply to bets on a solid number (square or straight bet) for multiplying your winnings.

Win Gold Vault Roulette

You’ve won the jackpot if you place a straight bet and the Super Gold Bar lands on your number. Your stake will then be multiplied by 500x, potentially making your winnings very high. Of course, you’ve also won if the ball lands on any other bet. Your winnings are higher if there’s a multiplier (or two or three), and slightly lower if there isn’t.

Bet and winnings payout

You can bet on a specific range of numbers. The standard payout for a straight-up bet is 24:1 at non GamStop casinso, which is lower than the usual 35:1. Other payouts without multipliers are the same as in regular roulette.

Gold Vault Roulette has a Return to Player (RTP) of 97.03% to 97.30%, which is slightly higher on average than Gold Bar Roulette. The maximum payout for Gold Vault Roulette is €500,000. Below are the betting options and the payout schedule, with and without multipliers:
